In my spare time I build radios, measuring instruments and things around electronics. It is not just for fun — hardware accepts no excuses. Either it receives and measures correctly, or it does not. That is where you keep the instinct for when a solution is genuinely finished.
An SDR receiver in Rust for SoftRock and SDRplay. I/Q from the sound card, Si570 tuning over USB, panorama, waterfall, AM/SSB/CW/FM demodulation. My favourite project.
